Honesty and Integrity

Addi and Luke with certificates

Delta Charter Juniors, Addison Case and Luke Hargis were recognized by the Ferriday Masonic Lodge #390 at the First Baptist Church in Ferriday. The Masonic Lodge presented the students with Honesty and Integrity awards. The award winners were nominated by the faculty, staff, and administrators at Delta Charter School. According to the lodge, "honesty is an attribute that does not come lightly. It comes from uprightness, truthfulness, sincerity, frankness, and freedom from deceit or fraud. This can be especially tough for young students facing peer pressure as they mature into responsible young citizens. Integrity is acting how you believe even when you think no one is watching. It shows your true moral character. You know these students from how they act and what they do both in school and in the community. They epitomize clean living, being true to themselves, and faithfulness in all their dealings with fellow students, faculty and staff, family, neighbors, and community citizens. For each of the students earning this prestigious award you would easily know things they have done that would cause you to say, Now, there are honest young persons, let me tell you what they did."

As authorized by the Grand Lodge of Louisiana, Ferriday Lodge #390 presented each winner with a framed certificate and with a Freemason “Honesty and Integrity” key. Congratulations Addison & Luke!
